Management of post-COVID olfactory disorder: Is olfactory training effective on recovery of olfactory mucosal function?

BACKGROUND: The number of patients presenting with sudden onset and persistant anosmia other olfactory disorders, which is a finding related to coronavirus disease has been increased considerably. In this study, we aimed evaluate the efficacy training in persistent after Covid-19 infection.
 METHODS: Forty-six who applied for loss smell infection still had disorders were included study. Odor threshold odor identification tests performed on before treatment. As training, 4 scent bottles following groups: phenyl ethyl alcohol, eucalyptol group, citronellal group eugenol given instructed sniff odors twice day, 5 seconds each, when they woke up morning went sleep make daily check that Patients continued 12 weeks re-evaluated test test.
